10 for '10 Campaign
The original purpose of the Wichita Victory '10 page was to promote the election of Republican Candidates in Texas and across America in 2010. This is critical because the next state legislatures will be tasked with re-distircting state legislatures and Congressional districts, as well as any state district positions in the respective states.
Why is this so critical? Because the new boundaries will determine the political party that controls the respective districts. Now, I am a Republican and I believe we need to have Republicans in control of our states and national governments. The way to insure this is to control the establishment of districts to provide Republican voter majorities.
Here is what 10 in '10 proposes - a donation of $10 from each Republican voter to provide campaign funds to those Republicans running in districts now occupied by a Democrat or where an "open seat" offers the opportunity for a Republican victory. At present, the Texas House has only a majority of two Republicans. We need a majority of at least 10 to be able to advance our agenda.
MAKE YOUR DONATION TO INSURE REPUBLICAN VICTORY IN NOVEMBER.

THANK YOU
The Wichita County Republican Party conducted its 2010 County Convention yesterday. Despite the weather Delgates gathered to select delegates to the Texas Republican State Convention on June 11-12 and to consider and adopt Resolutions to be forwarded for consideration by the State Convetion.
On behalf of the Wichita County Republican Party I wish to thank each of you who braved the weather to attend. I hope you found it worthwhile. A special thanks to all who assisted in preparing for, and conducting this Convention.

WICHITA COUNTY REPUBLICAN CONVENTION
The days since the March 2nd election have flown by and now it is time for the Wichita County Republican Party Convention on Saturday, March 20th. The convention will begin with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by the meeting at 8:30 am. It will be at the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel (5th and Broad). Over 200 have signed to be delegates so this should be among the largest ever held by the Wichita County Republican Party. Please come and participate in this second lowest level of democracy. It will be informative and interesting. For more information call Tom McCorkill at (940) 867-7435.

PRIMARY ELECTION RESULTS

Well, it is over! The March 2nd Republican primary went well, with a record turn-out. All the incumbents were re-elected and several new office holders were chosen to replace those who are leaving. Only one local election will require a run-off. Tony Fidelie and Greg King will face-off on April 13th to determine who will be the next Judge of County Court of Law No 2.
In contested local races Lanham Lyne was selected over Joe Clement as our party nominee for Legislative District 69. Maureen Shelton was selected to be our next District Attorney and Gary Butler will be the new Judge of County Court at Law No 1. Tom McCorkill defeated Donna Long in the race to become the next Wichita County Republican Party Chair.
Congratulations to All!
