A Lot Has Happened
I was in Austin Friday and Saturday for training on how to conduct a primary election. On the trip down I listened, as
did the nation, to reports on the tragedy at Ft Hood. I also heard how our President responded and how our former President
and First Lady quietly and secretly visited Ft Hood on Friday evening to comfort the soldiers and families. What a contrast. Then, on Saturday the Congress failed us all by not listening to those who sent them to represent us. This, overwhelmingly
confirms the need for Victory '10 in Wichita County, in Texas and in our nation. Our Congress is no longer representing
"we the people" but the special interests of small groups and organizations who have their own selfish interest. Here is what we must do - 1) Get active in the 2010 election process at the local level, at the State level and the Congressional
level; 2) Identify and work for candidates that will listen to "we the people" at whatever level; 3) Financially
support the campaigns of those who stand up for "we the people" whereever they are in the country. Most importantly,
we must VOTE and get our friends everywhere to do likewise. Incidentally, I did learn how to plan and conduct a successful
primary election.

More Republicans
Virginia has added 7 more Republican Delegates to increase the majority in the House of Burgess. If they can do it, so can
we. Seven more Republicans in the State of Representatives would increase our majority from 2 to 9 and decrease the minority
Democrats accordingly. With a majority of that size we could pass the important legislation that did not pass during the last
session and insure control of re-districting. If Virginia can do it we certainly can, but we must work on it not just hope
it will happen. The purpose of Wichita Victory 10 is to help make it happen. Now is the time to start. Which would you rather
have: 76-74 or 83-67?

Victory '09
WOW! Two important victories in Nov 3 off-year elections. Converting the Virginia and New Jersey Governorships from Democrat
to Republician, despite heavy campaigning from the President's people. Maybe the people have taken the luster from the
the "Annoited One". Certainly, this is heartening news of what can come in 2010 if we all work together.
